I was told that the associates laid off yesterday were given 18 months severance, no matter how long their tenure. Could they be pulling my leg?

Just got laid off (6/18) from BAC Dallas GTO with 42 years of service and got 18 months of severance pay. Grateful for that.
I just got laid (9/2017) off after 25 years and received 18 months....
I was laid of on 9-20-17 from the Coral Springs location and they gave us 1 week for each year.
So if I'm cut after 1 week do i get 8 weeks as that's stated as the minumum.
PvyPdlH-1yyt, is correct, don't kid yourselves the bank doesn't love or care about you that much to shower you with more.
One month per year? Hope that was at any level of tenure! Sign me up!
I heard from someome who was let go that, for this round, they gave 1 month per year (not sure how reliable he was in stating this)

How about if you have been with the company for a week?
2 weeks of severance pay for each full year service if less than 20 years. 3 weeks if 20 years or greater capped at 18 months
