Holy crap!! Our store has 20+ new hires....and signage in front of the store that says we are hiring! I'm a long-timer and I'm starting to think my time is coming to an end. Why else would Amazon hire so many people?? We'll see but I'm sure after turkey day something will fall....

I saw it too. There was a mass hiring event at Whole Foods and now there is a mass firing event. The media will catch it. It's a little too obvious.

Most new hires last a few shifts then stop showing up.Better to higher 3x what you need anticipating atleast 2 will probably stop showing up.

Most stores are severely understaffed. Also most part timers any retail/food place last only a few months and holiday season requires more people. Pretty normal
