Rumors are on steroids, here in the office. Not sure who knows what but there are rumors flying about layoffs close to the end of the year. 2018? Or 2019? Who knows, it's depressing.

There were lay offs in Technology in India on 16th Oct, 2018. Will continue for the next few days.
All corporate wide layoffs are to be completed by Nov 10th. That week is when the majority of people will be notified.
I was just let go a few weeks ago after working there for 5 years at the Northpointe location. I also heard thru the grapevine that the Northpointe office is closing and that BNY is cutting 20% of the total workforce.
I work in one of the many IT teams, and we do get hit every quarter.
But they managed to change the water-cooler chat from layoffs. Now people are talking about the plan to end scheduled work from home days.
Not a rumor- confirmed. Layoffs happening now in Pittsburgh office. Severance packages were offered to some.
Can’t speak to IT but my department is expecting one. Getting to the point that it seems they’re hitting before every quarter end.
