Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Bnym - Fire Charlie

Charlie has no ideas other than ruining peoples lives by layoffs. His only concern is padding his bonus to pay for the 18 million dollar home for which he is involved in a legal battle. He is ruthless and ignorant. Those of you with the company know the extent of his arrogance and ignorance if you watch his quarterly town halls. From laughing at questions, dismissing employees concerns and cussing. If you are lucky enough to make it through the many rounds of layoffs, you can forget about remote work arrangements. The revised policy allows for it, but he has dictated to each department that he wants butts in the overcrowded seats. He kept the corporate tax cuts which was to be trickled down to employees.

All that you need to know about his intellect is that the guy continues to talk about face to face collaboration, resulting in the elimination of work from home, for a global company where many of us in Pittsburgh talk to India, NY, and the UK much of the day. Only hope for the company and employees that are left is that the board sees through this imbecile and gets rid of him.

Wish we had a video of this so we could send it to the WF regulators.

As has been the case with every CEO from Marty McGuinn at Mellon (sale of retail) to Bob Kelly at Mellon (brokered merger w/BNY) to Gerald Hassel (calmly settle post-merger concerns and lean down tech costs) to now Charlie. He's here for a specific purpose. Brokering a sale with the most return to the partners that have planted members on the board. They would be stupid if they had him there for any other purpose. He's not an employees' CEO at all and they know that. He's not here to gain loyalty from the staff, he's here to execute the liquidation. Anyone thinking otherwise needs to open their eyes.

Before you fire Charlie, first you must fire a clueless board of directors. It's the blind leading the blind there, even the Wall Street analysts are blind. Listen in on the analyst calls, completely clueless. The investors are so blind, they can't distinguish value from a value trap. It's the greed! Between Dumb and Cox from San Fran and Warren Buffett in Omaha who clearly like Charlie's game of Shock and Awe, look forward to more of it. Warren isn't as nice as CNBC makes him out to be, the guy worships the dollar and doesn't mind firing people to get it.
