It’s in the process or elimination.
I work in Issuer Services/Corporate Trust. Our WFH is being pulled at the end of the month.
This was #1 reason why I put up with 50+ hour workweek and constant drama and fire-fighting... Frankly, I see little reason to stick around right now. I do not want to sound pretentious but I think there is a ton of opportunity out there if you have IT/Tech skills. I am not sure how are things on the Operations side, but looking at this purely from the IT standpoint, the company is getting less competitive (by limiting WFH)
Ironically one of the reasons I went back after they laid me off the first time was the generous WFH. Taking it away is another reason I really wont miss the place.
I know for a fact none of Cash Ops are allowed to WFH until further notice. There’s a new policy with specific mention of a number of areas that are a “no-go” for approval to WFH.
Sadly, it's true. It was a benefit highly talked about in my interview 8 months ago. Now it is gone.

From what I have heard Charlie dictated to each department what he demanded, and so far, in all cases I am aware of, it's 2 per month even though the policy allows for 2 per week. Now, because he sold off space and we all have "open, seating", there isn't enough seats for everyone when they come in. Brilliant!
They're making it much harder to continue WFH. There's a new process whereby you have to pick a
reason (from a small drop down menu) why you should be allowed work from home. This has to be submitted by the end of January, and approved by your manager, their manager, and then by HR.
If they turn down your request, the tough, that's it until next year.
I think King Charles was ready to stop WFH completely, but they seem to have backed off a little after getting thousands of comments on the topic on the BNY intranet.
