@"COE comments"

We have some outstanding directors that earned their reputation, position and status - some of them are iffy, but the same applies to managers, analysts, you name it. I am a mgr and I am not kissing butt here, but I worked for some great leaders and... — read more

Right on DOL WARN

You are right on DOL WARN. They have to file it and we would know if that had taken place. However, that only covers us thru 2/9 or 3/9 as I believe they have to do it only 30 or 60 days in advance. Overall, there is a ton of hype on this site, so... — read more

BTT/PMCOE

I've been hearing the BTT and PMCOE will be decimated during this process. Both layoffs and serious restructuring. Similar to what we saw in the October .com layoff/reorg. This is from the rumor mill, so don't take it to the bank. I just heard it... — read more

DOL Warn requirements?

If they're planning on cutting as many in the US as the rumors are saying (Rumors - ah said Rumors, son. Anywhere from 500 to 15000+), wouldn't Target have to report to the DOL what they were doing? If not, how are they getting around it?

In an earlier post it was suggested/asked we keep this forum for a way to share the rumor-mill - it's turned into sharing OPINIONS on the worthlessness of your co-workers - nice job!

COE comments

All the comments about BTT/COE being a complete waste of resources is so true. But the so-called leaders who blindly make these decisions will never be held accountable. Director level and higher just reacts to numbers on a piece of paper without any... — read more

I have heard TTS and marketing. None of the directors under our VP have that 1/15 7-9am meeting but I see other directors do. I hope that means we're safe!!

Sooner the Better

Personally the sooner the better so we can all get on with our lives one way or the other. I have consistently heard January 15, 10% reduction with a focus on BTT however Corporate wide. BTT will not exist and part of the rumored reorg.

Let's keep this to layoff rumors only

OK, so Target has too many "leaders" and is top heavy as an organization, and you have to be pretty or dress well to get promoted. Understood and agreed. Let's not all preach to the choir about who SHOULD be laid off, and keep this thread about... — read more

It will be okay.

If the worst happens reach out to your network and former coworkers who moved on. Most of us would like to help. It took me about 4-5 weeks in mn to find another job after being let go. Best luck and hope nothing comes of the rumors.
