It's outsourcing technology jobs to infosys! Where are the jobs for US citizens? Where is the punishment and punitive damages for shipping corporate jobs overseas to Infosys? Uncle Sam are u listening? Oh no he is shut down!

I believe someone posted that they got one week of severance pay for every week of service for the company - so if you had 10 years with target, you got 10 weeks of pay - that's it...

@BuckBuck - you are clueless, this was a cold calculated strategic move - has nothing to do with execs playing a personal game

What that means is the executive team hasn't met their goals, so in order to show profits they need to sacrifice employees. Any statements to the contrary is pure BS.

I interviewed at Target a couple of years ago. I'm 40 and even told I look young but I really felt out of place there. It was like walking the halls of college. Don't call me a fogey.

The numbers are off here quite a bit… If you add in the number of contractors that got axed today it's more like thousands rather than hundreds of resources cut. If someone wanted to do a story it might be interesting to see how may of those laid off... — read more 

Go to Target's North Campus in Brooklyn Park and check out how many East Indians and other foreigners work there. They aggressively hire non-citizens by the bus load.

Target will be outsourcing for cheaper workers. Look to Indian firms getting most of the eCommerce growth. Go figure, corporate taxes increased in this state and companies are moving out. You can't blame Target for this one.

Layoffs have begun. As of 9:45am Target began layoff discussions. My wife and her entire team were impacted. Not sure total #s. Im at HQ now and seeing people walking out with boxes. Not good
