Topics regarding layoffs at U.S. Bank

M&A

Has anyone heard that we’re merging with another bank? I’ve been hearing rumblings…

Here to validate you

You, you're not alone in feeling the way you do. There's something more to all of this, isn't there? While touting transparency US Bank hasn't been very forthcoming have they? First: You are allowed to wish things were better or be upset about... — read more

Any news on May layoffs

After last weeks CEO & MC all-hands, any news on when May layoffs are? For people already laid off, did you receive a same day meeting request and was it at the beginning or end of the week? Was your manager at the meetingor someone higher up?

If you haven't seen the Viva Engage thread...

... it's really something. Your fellow employees aren't afraid to complain about Gunjan, on intranet sites, using their real names. Bank employees of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains (and cr-ppy cash-balance pensions)

It's Been A Week

You'll find me lurking in comment sections trying to provide neutral and reasonable commentary under the handle of NCS. I really like this site and the ability for employees to share thoughts and opinions with the ability to remain anonymous. Or... — read more

Mortgage world

So I guess Mortgage world is just completely shot and here comes just another investment company and that's the story? I work in the MTG department and both meeting have not reflected anything to do with the growth or where the numbers are... — read more

What happened to the DEI group?

What happened to the DEI group that used to report directly to Andy. Gunjan committed to continuing to support DEI on the cltown hall, but it looks like this group has been quietly put into the HR group and retitled Community Impact and Inclusion... — read more

Recording?

Is there a recording for the meeting on Monday? I was OOO and want to listen for myself and make my own call.

Mental Health Wellness Month

The intranet reminded me that May is Memtal Health Awareness Month. How ironic, given GK making everyone feel like you know what!

HR & Gunjan

I’d like to hear from my HR peers on their thoughts of Gunjan’s performance at the town hall. It’s apparent that there are Gunjan bootlickers out there within HR that have been raving about out her. Others in HR are remaining silent, they have come... — read more

Sick Out

Lets call out sick. Show this foreign CEO who is running the company. Lets do it on friday.

Let’s talk about bad leadership

The hallmarks are all there: stagnant results, miserable morale, endless politics, teams at war with each other, constant brain drain, and management that rules through fear. Sound familiar?

Grade levels and compa ratio

Can you explain how salary grade levels work? I understand the general structure is something like: • Grades 11–12: Officer • Grades 13–15: AVP • Grades 16–17: VP If your title is “Officer,” does that automatically mean your salary range (slate)... — read more

US Bank is laying off age 50+ employees!

US Bank is busy laying off the age 50+ employee's who are more knowledgable and worked harder at their jobs for many many years. They are being replaced by young fresh out of college employee's who know nothing about hands on work. Good luck to US... — read more

Just Nasty

That CEO is just plain nasty. Who would think that speaking to Employees like that is a smart thing to do ? Definitely in over her head and attempting to bully. I say we go on a slow down strike. Nothing more detrimental to a company.

Glassdoor, etc...

Don't forget to post public negative reviews on Glassdoor, Indeed, etc... This forum is great, but not as visible as some others. GK currently has a 100% approval rating according to Glassdoor - probably a holdover from Andy's days, definitely... — read more

It's a nice thought, but...

We should do a walk out and strike. Is there even a chance we could get the critical mass needed for something like that to actually work? I’d be more than happy to take part, but realistically, organizing that many people without an experienced... — read more

RTO is just the cherry on the cake

This place will work you to the bone without a shred of remorse. They see hard workers as targets. Pile on the load until you crack, then replace you without blinking. The expectations are insane, the pressure never lets up, and God forbid you need a... — read more

TTUS anonymous?

Can anyone confirm that the TTUS is actually anonymous? Is there someone on that team that can confirm/disprove the anonymity?

We can outlast Gunjan

Don't despair about RTO - just mention "work from home" in every TTUS survey, and bring it up in every town hall. Gunjan hates being asked. Don't pay any attention to Gunjan's criticisms and meanness - just leave reviews on Glassdoor and mention her... — read more

Nobody is walking away

All this tough talk about quitting is just noise. When reality hits, 99% of people will swallow their pride and comply, even when it comes to RTO. If employees had real leverage, companies wouldn’t need layoffs. The truth is we’re disposable, and... — read more

Why is everybody so surprised?

We’ve been headed toward this disaster for a while. If you didn’t see the writing on the wall, that’s your problem. That being said, I hope everyone who hates what this place has become takes off and leaves them scrambling. We already have a wrecked... — read more

Boomers/Bootlickers are out in Force 😂

I swear their comments basically make this place Facebook. I'm fully convinced they're suffering from some level of lead poisoning. The thought of considering another POV/angle on an issue is so foreign the them. That instead of taking the time... — read more

Workplace Walkout

That's what you need if you're serious about bringing attention to another autocrat-supporting CEO. This isn't the movies, no "hero" will appear for you, all of you need to do it yourselves. All of you. It won't matter if it's just a few here or... — read more

Coming to you live from U.S. Bank…

That “meeting” felt more like a SNL skit poking fun at a horribly out of touch CEO than an actual company call. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this point. U.S. Bank has become one big, sad joke and I don’t feel good about waiting around for... — read more

RTO or GO

You heard it. If you don't conform to RTO or currently remote then you will be cut. She said it herself "you have our full support to find other opportunities elsewhere". We knew this day would eventually come for the coffee badgers and... — read more

When will we learn?

Why do we continue to support a company who is outsourcing outside of the country? America comes first and US Bank is doing the exact opposite. I can’t continue to support a company that sends my information and jobs overseas so someone can work... — read more

CEO - out of touch

Wow, is all I can say from that meeting with the CEO. Is she that out of touch with reality? Will the board or anybody say anything to her about it, or are they all "Yes" men? I have never been in a meeting before like that, that ki-led my morale... — read more

My TTUS feedback

Thought I'd pass it on in case any of you lovely disgruntled coworkers hadn't submitted yours yet, and were looking for ideas: "G----- K----'s tone-deaf, b----y "town hall" on the morning of 5/5 was the most entitled, mo--nic rich-person behavior... — read more
