Head Hunted

I’ve received about 3 messages from a recruiter for US Bank. Keep it brutally honest, I left Wells Fargo when I heard rumors of chainsaw Charlie laying off, and a year later my branch was closed down and not everyone was able to transfer to the... — read more

I don't feel motivated anymore

Layoffs are one thing, but the endless outsourcing and focus on AI makes it REALLY hard to think my role matters anymore or what the future looks like. Anyone else?

Spreading Group

Evidently Corporate and Commercial spreading is moving to India. I guess spreaders in USA are ongoing to oversee their work for a period of time. I think I saw a movie about this. They must be paying them some sort of bonus to stick around while... — read more

What’s the latest on layoffs?

And pls, guys, provide info if you can - dept, no. of people, etc. We all have just bits and pieces of information and not a general picture. Is it true that WFH people are affected disproportionately? I wish us all luck.

Tell us your department

I know people tend to live in their own world and don't realize all of the different segments of this company, but please realize how big the audience is. Are you in Commercial banking? If so on the credit, sales (RM), back office, TOS, etc.? Same... — read more

My HSA posted today, Juneteeth. No matches that happen semi annually. Is this supposed to post this pay period or next?

Layoffs today

Well I know that my team lost one person. They are here until 7/26. Our manger just read from a script, zero emotions or care involved regarding our team member. He was more annoyed that he had to interrupt his vacation to notify us.

EXECS in office?

I'm not in a hub, but wondering if AC and is minions are back in the office 3 days a week?

Company no longer allowing floating holidays

I work in TOS, and our manager told us they were informed that the company is no longer allowing floating holidays nor are we allowed to work on a holiday (ex. President's Day) in exchange for a different day off. Throw in the company's anti-vacation... — read more

Useless managers

Who else here reports into useless senior management who know nothing about the subject matter of the department they are in charge of and also have little to no emotional intelligence in regard to their employees. I do.

USBank and Truist merger?

Heard there was a meeting at Truist HQ in North Carolina to discuss possible merger. Anyone else hearing this? Also saw this: https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1sT5ayLn

Mobile and Online Banking

For all the chest thumping we do about our digital capabilities, it’s ironic that JD Powers has us near the bottom of large banks in both areas. We apparently are not as good as we say we are based on our customers. Maybe AC needs to make changes . — read more

Working together survey

Is anyone else completing this survey? Let's not mince words: the company is not and will not listen, but that doesn't mean we stay silent. Complete the "Working Together" survey and make your voice heard loud and clear. They might not care, but it's... — read more

Leave. You can do it

Today I left my job and currently don’t have a backup plan. I’m lucky enough to have the means to take a month off but I’ll have so much less stress and I’ll have time to devote to finding my next chapter. Left toxic management and truly was just... — read more

RTO Monitoring

So it’s been confirmed that managers have a dashboard on workday to monitor badge swipes. Does anyone know if they’re monitoring VPN access, aka login in from home? I think it will be a matter of time before they start doing that but curious if it’s... — read more

Sekou’s Conduct Providing Job Security?

Seems Sekou’s misconduct has served his boss and direct reports well. Planned cuts to the branch region executives can’t happen as planned and Tim’s departure is held up as well.

Minneapolis how are you coping?

How are you all feeling after they made you clean out your desk, pack your personal items and take it home? I’ve been down just thinking about it.

Over 40 + People of Color Are You Ok?

They are moving to wave 2 of RTO

Haven’t even finished round one with MN yet but HR is already moving forward with mapping for wave 2 hubs and not many people who were mapped as remote will be happy. They want you in the hub.

HR whistleblower

Our HR team has become a joke. Gone are the days when it was a trusted and fair function that protected the bank’s interests and employees. Today it’s become a dark hole where senior executives collude to pursue personal agendas. Those of who work in... — read more

Approved exception to RTO?

I was told I could go to HR and ask for a “reasonable accommodation” to get approval to continue working remotely. I have multiple issues related to acute anxiety. Anyone else gotten approval for this?

Trying to jump ship but first…
