Closed Branch Employees?
What will happen to closing branch employees? Over 100+ branches are closing end of May and they still haven't said what will their new assignment be? Will they get let go even though they keep saying frontline employees will be kept?

More Toxic Every Day

What's happening with layoffs of non-front-facing employees?
I know we are far from being over, is there any way to know when the cuts will continue?
U.S. Bancorp aka U.S. Bank blacklisting former employees from being rehired under the Greedy Andy Cecere era?
Is there any way to find out if I have been blacklisted from rehire? In my previous department I was “laid off” as retaliation from a manger for calling out her errors. As Greedy Andy has already demonstrated that he will turn a blind eye to illegal... — read more

US Bank gave $1Billion to help bail out FRB
This is after layoffs last year. Imagine how far a billion dollars would have gone if we had invested that into bailing out our customers; given them the tools and resources to become better earners for the bank.
Volunteer Unpaid Days Off
They started announcing that we can now take unpaid days off in my department. Seems we might be over staffed after they hired bigger groups starting this year.

It is almost like controlled opposition. Thoughts?
Rather be laid off than worked around
I would rather they just lay me off than find ways to work around my job. It is happening more and more every day. U.S. Bank employee.
This stinks. Just got laid off today

Branch employees being let go?
What's the float branch manager and engagement manager roles? Are they just here until December? How about all other employees of branches being closed? What's happening to them??

Afraid of layoffs
The atmosphere is tense, plenty of rumors about layoffs floating around. I don't think I've ever been more anxious about getting laid off. You? I tried to find a new job but I got discouraged real quick. It's tough times ahead.
Thinking about applying for US Bank
Is this a good company to work for in an IT manager role?
Rolling layoffs
Rolling layoffs at union bank have started. All hush hush so as not to spook employees working on conversion efforts. Several business and operations folks received notices today. Party has just started!
Another merger?
Thoughts on us merging with either Truist or PNC and becoming a “too big to fail” bank?
Union Bank Bankers
Have you heard of what’s going on with Union Bank bankers, Abms, bssos? What about the employees of closing branches?
The same thing as the 2008 crisis or not?
To the comment that this will be way worse than 2008 - that is utter nonsense. Banks are far better capitalized than they were leading up to the 2008 financial crisis. SVB had a mismatch of asset and liabilities. It is true that most other banks... — read more
