Is it true mortgage laying off before Nov 1st? What are all these meetings

My manager is so excited about it. He has nothing to do except micromanage and create busy work…he’s so eager for us to return so he can feel important again.

Will they be returning to the office 3 days a week instead of working from their home office in their mansions? I mean they do make 10x what the average worker makes so I’m sure they would mind leading by example.

There are plenty of people in home based positions that live within driving distance of an office but were lucky enough to get categorized that way. Now HR is not approving requests to be categorized as home based. How does this make sense? Why... — read more

I share the opinion with some poster here who wrote that no one would even notice if half of the mid level management was laid off. Agree?

Anyone know with the union bank acquisition, if layoffs of usb employees will occur? Or maybe more positions will be outsourced over seas? Specifically claim/call center areas. Wish I could get a glimpse of the future with the bank.

In my town, the Roadshow meetings are happening soon. We got the email invites this week... Most of us. Would you find it suspicious if departments who normally go to the Roadshow, didn't get an invite?

The Fed raises rates and overnight the bank updates/adjusts all accounts. The bank's pay increases take a quarter of a YEAR before they go into effect.

There is a lot of speculation about RIFs, but it is difficult to say which departments could be affected or what could be the scope of cuts. Perhaps someone has insights, although I'm still a little hopeful that there won't be any cuts at all.
