Topics regarding layoffs at U.S. Bank

Is this round reserved for managers?

From what I understand, there'll be more layoffs before the end of the week but the only ones affected are various levels of management. Is this true? Did I understand it correctly? If that's the case, then for once, the bank is doing something it... — read more

What just happened today?

Does anyone understand what happened today with the reorganization, layoff of RPs Divison Managers?

Mgmt - just help us be successful

I've been with USB for a while now. I was told I had just avoided the last major transformation before I joined. I've been in tech for most of my career, you can guess what dept I'm in. The introduction of Agile isn't new to me, so this round of... — read more

Cecere made 20 million in 2021

Something doesn’t add up when his salary keeps going up along with the laid off count. He keeps cutting jobs to fill his pockets and make like the company is still making money

Ageism is very definitely alive and well at US Bank

What you people are saying about ageism at US Bank is totally true. I was making too much money when the TOS division was in the process of shutting down processing centers several years back. That was a long process that didn't happen all at once. I... — read more

What kind of severance package was offered to those who were laid off yesterday? Does anybody know? Is it one or two weeks per year? How is medical coverage handled? I would appreciate it if anybody would be willing to share this info with the rest... — read more

Mortgage Layoffs

I am an underwriter and I was laid off today. Very sad day. I spent many years working for US Bank Mortgage. I don’t know if more layoffs are planned, and I wish everyone who was laid off today the best. Truly heartbreaking.

Mortgage supervisor

So it is true today at 10 am 3/29/22 I was layoff with 20 plus other employees. Last month US bank assured us this would not happen. Yes after a recorded breakdown Gn year from the pandemic 16-20 hour days they just laid us off and I believe it’s... — read more

Small cuts

Looks like the management has opted for small cuts every few days instead of one major round. I think one large round draws too much attention and negative publicity. If they only cut a few people every few days, it can easily fly under the radar... — read more

Merit Increases?

I thought raises were to be on today's paycheck. Nothing changed with my pay. Should I assume that means I'm not getting a raise? My boss & I never had a conversation about a merit increase. Did others get a merit increase on today's check?

bonus

I still haven't got my bonus

Enabling our future… but not mine.

My team (15 people) were laid off on our first day of RTO. Oof! I got 1 week severance for each year of service. They made it sound like broader org changes were coming as part of a “Enable Our Future” initiative, but I haven’t heard anything else. — read more

RTO fallout will be epic!

The bank is testing us but they don't realize how many of us are ready to push back and not return to work at all over this. Who are they going to replace us with if we don't show up? The job market has never been worse for businesses and better for... — read more

Everybody should be looking for a job

USB doesn't want anybody above 50 working here

Look at the ages of people who are getting laid off and fired and tell me you don't notice that most of them have one thing in common: their age? Ever since I hit 50 I've been nervous, waiting for my turn. It's not normal to be this stressed out over... — read more

Do managers really buy the cr-p AC is shoveling?

I hope that not all managers at USB are happy with the cr-p that AC has and tries to shovel to employees. It’s a cr-p show. Most staff is not happy. Are managers just going along with it because they need a paycheck too?

USB, that's not the solution!

Maybe it can work that way for a while, but not for long. So how much longer does USB intend to continue solving the problem of people leaving by giving extra work to those who stay? What do they actually achieve that way? My opinion is that this... — read more
