Ethics can’t help

I submitted my complaint to Ethics about my leader having favoritism. I asked them what the process would be. I was told that it depends on someone else. I didn’t realize that they dont do any investigations. I was told that they are FORced to... — read more

HR is in the building

Anyone else notice there are more than the usual HR folks in HO today, or is it just me? I’ve seen them everywhere in the cafe and huddled together when I grabbed my coffee this morning. Maybe I’m paranoid, but doubt it.

AML

Rumor is there’s big news this week in AML dept. Anyone hear the same?

Fired hours after going to HR!

What is going on with USAA? I’ve read so far a few employees have been terminated days if not hours after reporting issues to HR! According to one post, the OP stated HR told them that they “made a false claim” about manager harassment and fired... — read more

No class actions?

So many wrongful terminations, another poster made a great point. Was this to avoid layoffs and severance? Wonder will a class action take place, as it should. I did learn DO NOT go to HR. Seems like a lot are retaliations from that.

Bank Ops svp “retiring”

Another one steps down in such a short period of time. I always wonder if the “spending time with the family” line is true at times. Probably just a smokescreen to cover the real reason they went bye bye.

A long slow grind of headcount reduction

It's all part of the HR strategy pushed by the management consultants on many corporate outfits these days: increasing automation and efficiency will guarantee a long slow grind of headcount reduction, so you really should not care about our invest... — read more

So many layoffs, so many reorgs

It feels like we're always stuck in a cycle of endless reorganizations and complicated new processes. Every single change seems to make things more convoluted, and we are left spinning our wheels instead of making progress. It's like we're constantly... — read more

Severance DENIED

What has happened to the company I loved so much?? How is this behavior okay? After being with USAA for 24 years, my entire department changed. We were told it was due to a new model, designed to better serve members. A few months later we were... — read more

Overheard in managers kyc meeting

Cant ask members about kyc information because they will get angry and close accounts… I guess it will be better if usaa got fines and consent orders. Ill just drink my tea. Pip pip cheerio!

Can someone explain what's going on with sales lately?

Seems like something has changed recently in sales expectations for the MSRs on the phones. I haven't worked on the phones in years, but when I did, we didn't really have sort of sales expectations. Sure, if an opportunity presented itself, we might... — read more

LEADERSHIP IN CLAIMS IS TERRIBLE

If anyone is thinking about being at USAA long term I encourage you to think again, while there are many good things about working at UsAA there are MANY bad things one being the leadership, managers who take a do as I say and not as I do approach... — read more

Bank will get worse. Leave

Bank is trying to fix things by following ECIO and trying Agile. However, they’re running lean and have existing teams enact Agile without training or hiring Agile folks. They’re also becoming less flexible, with BSB a complete nightmare to be in... — read more

Employees have no outlet

Anyone else notice Employee Relations has changed. They no longer help us resolve conflict. It’s now a part of the service center. The ER leadership is a big joke.

Tried USAA Auto for 2 days - Cancelling Again

A Few Days back with USAA Auto. Paid a super premium for privilege of returning. 7+ Bugs noted along the way. Clearly limited technical QA all around. IVR Voice and DTMF read fail on call in. Underqualified agent is not listening to what I'm... — read more

Posts being removed - Someones getting kick backs

I made a post yesterday about a certain person at the top of ECIO getting kick backs from her friends in the suppliers she has made that we only use them and them alone. I know for a fact one of the suppliers she choose has a 79% markup. Most in... — read more

Post being discontinued

First Wayne got his feelings hurt with the honest feedback from EJS, so he got rid of it. Employees started to use PULSE, that led to a 39% employee satisfaction, so now that’s being changed to quarterly. Now word is that The Post is being... — read more

Who's left

Welp, bonus happened. How many turned in their notices? LOL!

ECIO? Run for the Hills!

Get out while you can. ECIO is a mess and not going to change anytime soon. The top is tainted and if you aren’t a “yes man”, you will be eliminated.

Wayne’s Blog = Proactive Damage Control

Wayne’s blog means next week local SA newspaper will release his pay increase for 2023 and it will show a big increase. How big you ask? My bet between 50 and 100%! Don’t be fooled, this is a lame attempt of damage control. He even had Comms team... — read more

So, they f’d up pay roll

No Super Bowl Posts? Greener Grass

Layoffs Target Remote Workers More Than In-Office Staff https://www.pymnts.com/payroll/2024/layoffs-target-remote-workers-more-than-in-office-staff/

Another employee blindsided on the Post

This one was pretty sad. An employee got a partially met expectations last year for 2022 and never knew what he did wrong. So he took it on himself to do more and be even better in 2023. Performance review for 2023 still came in at partially met... — read more

STRIC is out-of-network with Cigna???

I just learned that South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers are out of network for Cigna, which seems strange to me since STRIC is a major provider in San Antonio and used to be in-network for USAA’s Aetna plan. I also heard that this might change... — read more
