I'm a spouse of a Xerox employee. I'm an employee of a Fort. 500 as well. I'm also a client of Xerox and all I can tell you is I've never seen the lack of communication from a company that had/has such statue. No communication..... Unacceptable.

Xerox Tactical Approach to Age Descrimination
The recent change made with regards to Salary Continouance to Severance is simply a tactical move by Xerox Sr. Leadership to reduce expenses as they target getting rid of tenured higher salaried employees with the next series of IRIFs....Did someone... — read more
Are we certain layoffs are done for now?
I know everybody is saying that if we were not affected by now, we are safe. I'm probably just being paranoid, but I can't stop thinking that was just a start and we'll see more before the end of the month. How do we know it's really over? I could... — read more
The complacency is beyond tragic
The operations folks refused to let go of the mainframe and kludgy access databases and would tell their management who would repeatedly thwart efforts to do anything new- no IT leadership could fight this stupidity driven by the Xerox way of making... — read more

incredible shrinking pages
The biggest alarm signal is not just that the cost of these products keeps shrinking, but the way people are printing has also changed. Black and White pages are shrinking by double digits every year and color pages are barely flat. Yet price erosion... — read more
Xerox is too big to just dissapear
People seem to enjoy being alarmists. Yes, situation is bad right now. A lot of people are being laid off. But we still have over thirty thousand employees. We are far too big to go under in a year or two, as some people keep implying. We are... — read more
Is Xerox in
a death spiral ?
Stuck in the past...
Xerox as a company have no single direction and focus. There are plenty of talented people who are relentlessly held back by cuts, policy change, new management and poorly planned ideas being rushed in without forethought. This isn't something new... — read more
NO ONE is safe
I thought this deserved to be on top so people would hopefully finally understand this: A person I've worked with for years was let go two weeks ago. She kept telling to stop being so paranoid when I would tell her to come up with a plan just in... — read more
How hard are the survivors working to cover holes from those irif’d
I am wondering just how hard survivors are working to fill holes in work processes left unassigned when the mid August IRIF eliminated people who were the only ones supporting some business critical processes in Finance. I know I can’t takeover what... — read more
When are more cuts?
Next month? Next week? Tomorrow?
Get Ready to fight for what's yours!
I left Xerox a couple of years ago after nearly 30 years. Happy to be gone. The worst part was once you decide to separate from the company the HR folks who are supposed to help you through the transition do everything they can to deny you from... — read more
The big picture
Honestly we can all just keep talking about layoffs and the stress of it all. But we all have to be blind . Not to see what the Webster site looks like . (A) downtown Rochester closed . They moved people to Webster then big layoffs. The site is... — read more
No benefits!!!?!
What are you local people doing for health care? Im single and need coverage. I heard COBRA would be like $1,100 per month. I see RightOpt referred to in the handout... anyone have experience with these rates? Hang in there everyone...
Promotion means nothing!
Just a warning to everybody, a friend from work who was promoted less than a year ago was let go as part of this round. He was certain he was safe, so this came as a huge shock to him. It caught him completely unprepared, to say the least. My point... — read more
You're safe for today.
Yours safe for today is the only thing that our managers can tell us which is not much. It sure feels like we are all fish in a barrel waiting to be shot.
No more vrifs?
No more I didn't hear of vrifs the last couple times. Wouldn't that be cheaper for Xerox?
A dying organisation
Xerox is dying. There are layoffs. The XIM managers are not fit to handle the pressure and making wrong decisions. The competitors are ways ahead in cloud based setups and Xerox is still working to have cloud by 2025. Outdated technologies used to... — read more
Pension changes coming
Do I hear that changes are coming to the pension program this month? Specifically, that if you "leave" the company you will no longer have the option to pull your pension out as a lump sum (and control it yourself)? You will have to take the annuity... — read more
More layoffs to come
Due to legal, fiscal and image reasons, these layoffs re going to be staggered across the next few months; but, I have heard that by early 2019, expect that 20% to 30% of Xerox's current US workforce will be gone by VRIF, IRIF, or simply encouraged... — read more
Please....read and think.
I know we are told 1000000 times a day how "BOOMING" the economy is, stock market all time highs, etc, etc. But folks, the stock market is ALWAYS at an all time high long after the real economy tanks. Every single time it's been that way. And if you... — read more
Why are people surprised by layoffs?
Where have you been for the past several years?
Where can we go?
I'm among those who have had enough and I'm planning to leave as soon as I find adequate replacement job, but from what I've seen so far it'll be a while. Most of the companies are in the same position as we are. I've checked a few of the boards... — read more
People will be cut until the company is sold...then
When the company is sold likely in a few pieces, the buyer will decide if they want to keep employees. They are past the point of no return. Imo. Ps it will never be the same.
Be Realistic
Look folks, Take a walk down any large Xerox building - say 0111 and note the relative age of the folks there. Most are over 45 years old. Many in their 50's and quite a few looking at 60. If Xerox was to become a new tech "powerhouse," you need to... — read more
Numbers from yesterday?
Any report on how many people were let go yesterday? It seemed smaller than the last one.
When is the next round?
1 week? 2 weeks? A month? Who is next on the chopping block? How many are leaving voluntarily to the stress?
So, I did not get let go today now what?
I know Xerox is dying a slow death. I didn't get let go today... now what?
Plan for Xerox
I just do not get what the real plan for Xerox is. I know the stuff John V says, but they really have killed the company. Layoffs are going to continue, people that stay are going to be unmotivated. The ones that can, will be looking for work. I... — read more

Average age of laid off employees
What's this round looking like when it comes to age of those who were laid off? Is it once again leaning heavily towards those in the higher age bracket (who also coincidentally have higher pay?)
How long can this go on?
Once again the best are gone, the worst are left behind. For how long do they think they can do this without visible consequences for the company?

Where are all of the people who said this wasn’t going to happen today?
