RTO

Has anyone within roles that are not client facing been advised to go in office 2-3 times a week months ago however it was not enforced, now we are being told by leadership HR is pushing hard for it and doing badge swipe reviews and will be reaching... — read more

With RTO do you find yourself using more sick time?

With RTO, I'm having days where I get up and really don't feel like commuting to the office on top of the other cr-p. Since working from home is limited, anyone else burn the occasional sick day to avoid going in? Maybe go do something fun or relax... — read more

Management running VPN reports, not badge

I work in a Global Tech data team. Up until this past week, I've only heard from my manager informally in meetings to come into the office 3 days per week. It's even been said in the past no one is monitoring. No details on what would happen if... — read more

Consumer vs. Small Business

If Consumer and Small Business will be merged, does anyone know who will lead the combined organization? Holly O'Neill or Sharon Miller? I would assume it would be Holly O'Neill. There is a ton of redundancy, so some layoffs or reassignments would... — read more

Laid off without any clues

I still find it hard to believe that some of the people who were laid off had absolutely no indication that this was going to happen. What do you think about that? However, I did hear that there are many who were not laid off in the massive... — read more

300k total comp in tech

Waiting on an offer from BAC in tech, just received an offer from a startup that is close to $300k total comp, will a B4 role in tech hit that level?

Open Seating

How are things in the Plano location with open seating? Is it first come, first serve where you decide to sit? Word has gotten out that reconstruction will start at the Amon Carter location soon and cubicles will be no longer.

Relocating to another location

My manager is ok with me relocating to a different “hub” location in GIS. The cost of living could be higher. If so, Will HR consider an increase?

Don't bother

Too many naive new employees seem desperate to impress and are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that. I've seen some take on three times more work than is required of them. I wish they knew from the start that it's all for nothing. They're... — read more

Bank of America has really went from sugar to sh-t.

This company used to be a good place to work but now it is probably the worst place I have ever been. The constant promotion of incompetent people is really taking a toll . I have never seen so many unqualified and inexperienced people put in... — read more

Promotions earned fair and square

In the past, it was not very often that those who added little or no value got promotions more easily than hard workers with excellent performance. How many people do you know now who got a promotion thanks to their competences and efforts alone?... — read more

What finally made you leave?

The fact that layoffs have not been announced does not mean that the pressure to make employees miserable is not greater than ever (probably all in order to make us leave on our own)?

Sorry but... What 'benefits'?

Crazy how our company touts benefits for employees that are wonderful on the surface, but beneath all the hyperlinks and forms is a sea of red tape that makes it difficult, if not impossible to ACTUALLY benefit from them... Childcare reimbursement?... — read more

Retirement Package?

Does anyone know if BofA offers retirement packages for CSRs who have worked for 18 years? Or know about Rule of 75? I'd appreciate any guidance. Thank you

Nobody is in this for the long run

It's more than obvious in the way the so-called leadership runs this place. In the long run, it's cheaper to retain and promote good employees rather than lose them. But they'll rather lay them off for momentary gains that will be reflected in their... — read more

Merging Business Banking

Word on the street is 2024 merging consumer and Business Banking into one unit. If this is true and it happens be prepared for alot of tough conversations. The bank will lower headcount with this move lots of duplication.

Extra work

For those of you whose workload has doubled (if not tripled) due to attrition + hiring freeze, are you expecting a comp increase next year for your extra work? Or are we just “helping” the bank save more money with no added benefit?

Badge report

Anyone have insight to the badge report. I was told it started to monitor that you have swiped in at all and if you haven't you would have a certain time frame or would go on notice. Are they checking weekly swipe counts yet? Asking for the 3/2... — read more

Don't gift BofA unpaid work

Salaried but done at 40 hours even though there is more work to be done. When it's time to leave the office, log out, leave, drive home and spend the evening with my family and forget about it the cr-p piling up until the next day. If they want more... — read more

Time Study

We recently lost a coworker and another one is on paternity level. While the case load has increased for everyone, upper management has asked for a time study to prove how many employees it takes to do the job. My manager has asked that I move slow... — read more
