toys r us did almost identically what belk is doing in terms of bankruptcy, stores were run the same way, horrible management, no existent upper management, the top brass took huge bonus after filing bankruptcy. Now toys r us is gone...

According to Moody's, Belk has missed their term loan payment and their rating has been downgraded to LD. Payment will be made after bankruptcy is completed. Outlook remains negative.
