Many part time employees have not been called back to work but their employee discount still is in effect so are these part timers still employed with Belk even though no one has called them or sent them a final letter ?

Belk is not hiring any new employees, stores are running on under 20 people, hours cut last week, no new stock, this company is near the end.

A steady stream of customers all saying Belk will be closing based on how the store selection is. One customer said she gives Belk six months.

our Cosmetics/fragrance counter is EMPTY, stock levels are are so low customers ask every day “when are you closing?”, and EVERY manager is going to interview for other jobs, including the store manager, the end is near!!!!

I work at corporate and was one of the people to be furloughed but then told I was coming back. Now I’m being told I won’t be coming back until end of August which means never. Run while you can and get another job AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Belk is cutting hours at all stores "due to Covid 19". This is supposed to be temporary for "a few weeks". They are trying to prevent another round of furloughs, according to management. This could be Belks' death nail.
