The 'Don't Talk' policy is ridiculous!

So it seems that impacted employees are telling suppliers, who are telling other employees, but employees are not allowed to speak with each other. And so, the rumor mill churns. Very unhealthy. Very unproductive.

Any way to volunteer if we weren't offered to?

I have enjoyed my years here but now it's time to move on. I have received a good offer, but it's from a much, much smaller company and that comes with its own risks. I'm scared to just walk out, but if there was severance involved, it would be much... — read more

Change to benefits?

BL said there will be changes to benefits specific to regions. Will the very expensive final salary pension go or stay to suit T1-T3 cushy salaries?

The US Upstream being gutted

Of the 10,000 layoffs over half are coming in the US. In just the first 2 days I’ve learned half my team is laid off, over two thirds in Projects, Wells. Obliteration of the upstream to make up for so many tier 2 and tier 3 leaders from the... — read more

Things have changed here

BP was never an ideal employer, but at least it used to treat its employees somewhat decently. Now even that is gone. This ELT couldn't care less about any of us and they are not afraid to show it. But it has always been known that how well you treat... — read more

Anyone see a correlation between the level of layoffs and the lack of strategy or leadership? Compare BP dinosaurs with Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos who have grown from nothing to many multiples of BP.
