Talent comes to die here

It's terrible how much Cisco doesn't value talent. At one time, there were many great people here. But if you ask those who have left, most will tell you that they feel like they just wasted their talent here. Does Cisco really not have a need for... — read more

Employees, don't count on your RSUs

There are a slew of older folks I know in the LR. They are usually higher-paid and then legally Cisco doesn't need to pay out on the RSUs. It's a huge legal loophole that Cisco uses that saves hundreds of millions. If Cisco had to pay all the... — read more

Hiring freeze?

If this is an accurate rumor, any ideas if they will still allow LR impacted people to apply to positions?

Outdated things at Cisco that bother you the most?

I totally agree that Cisco is somewhat behind the times, which of course has negative business impacts. I heard from many people that they only became aware of this issue here when they went to other tech companies.

Update on Americas Sales Layoffs

RB and several sales leaders are at the Super Bowl this weekend all at the expense of those that were laid off. Another example of out touch leadership who continues to take care of themselves while doing nothing for the field.

Mid-Year Advance

Let's all have a little fun. How many of you think we will get a mid-year advance? After having one of the most successful Q1s ever and Q2 looking promising, the way Cisco has been going, i'd say no LOL

Fire the CXOs

Fire the CXOs, the VPs, the directors and management. They have the responsibility of making business decisions and they are the ones that should face the consequences, not the workers. I have wondered why executives making bad decisions or not being... — read more

I joined Cisco in September and it took me about a month to realize I made a mistake. Since then, that realization has been confirmed multiple times. I have never stressed about work more than I have in the last five months. Some of the expectations... — read more

GSSO Specialists Layoffs and More Coming

Is "customer success" nonsense to you?

I have been in CS and seen it from behind the curtains. It's run by jokers and Yes-man types who "manufacture" work and projects coz there is no real work. The whole thing doesn't create any value or impact. They failed the CX Cloud launch, many use... — read more

Almost 40

Found out that many almost 40s were hit in the "restructuring" (aka get rid of older workers effort). Sorry, that isn't going to work. Regulators aren't stupid. It's just too obvious to ignore. They messed up. Went over the line into the danger... — read more

Cisco can still get back on track

They may still be able to get back in the saddle but that depends on the ELT. They have these useless layers of directors, managers, etc. especially in sales and CX, who do absolutely nothing. They do not add value, do not build business and... — read more

The Game

Target over 40 workers and non Indians in LR. Throw about 20-30% under 40's in there to hide the discrimination. Then, most internal opportunities are given to under 40 and Indian. You end up with a real layoff in 90% of over 40. We know. They... — read more

Cisco is certainly not a company for those who cannot bear the pressure of never being able to relax knowing that cuts are a constant threat here. Is there any other tech company with a higher layoff frequency than Cisco? I doubt it.
