Performance Reviews

Anyone else going through the new Performance Review process? I think this is a beta test for next year. Mine was very peculiar. I could tell my manager hadn't even read my self-assessment. Didn't really seem interested at all.

The worst period since I've been here

When I first got the job here, it was tolerable. However, this is now a real mess. Cisco is now the most disorganized company I've ever worked for. Does anyone remember worse periods in this company? Have there ever been worse periods than this... — read more

Went from dream job to despising this place

It's not the first time I've heard someone saying that they totally despise this place. The disappointment is huge. Many people who used to love their job now hate the fact that they ever applied here and are trying their best to leave as soon as... — read more

6 to 9 buildings in RTP may go up for sale

Badge in rates are abysmal. Latest from the exec committe is that 6, maybe 9, buildings will be up for sale after the clean out and consolidation. No RTP isn’t closing, just downsizing to save money.

Baffling

Why would anyone go vastly above and beyond after being dumped on by their manager for several years in a row? No raises for three years = they don't want you there. Get the hint! It's someone I know that I'm trying to convince to get OUT. But... — read more

People losing their jobs is taken for granted

Layoffs here are taken pretty much for granted. At the same time, those who make wrong decisions, which I believe are largely to blame for the fact that people lose their jobs, always find different excuses, never take responsibility and firmly... — read more

Layoffs soon in Collab

Cisco Collaboration will have a big layoff. Notifications on November 17th, with exits by January 10th. Amazing that the only people not losing jobs are the leaders that led to market share fall in the last 5 plus years.

Work on improving your skills

The biggest problem with this environment is that your skills are atrophying at an alarming rate. I would encourage taking some classes outside of Cisco. It can be CISSP, AWS, Azure, or ITIL, etc.. Anything to hang your hat on during an interview... — read more

Cisco is dying & next round of LR's

Managers Working In Office Only For Show
