Whoa! Direct axing off teams ! She was smiling and giggling while saying it
RIP AppD, Collab & Wireless
They invited a bunch of us into a big 15 minute meeting right after the check-in call. Very impersonal. Anyone know the size of impact? I asked around and it's hard to see which groups had the meeting. I'm in sales.
Negotiating Package
Has anyone had success negotiating a severance package with Cisco, for example, getting them to accelerate all your RSUs or more severance. I know some Splunkers affected and wondering if they should try.
Any Canada whackage ?
Post it here, you Crazy Canucks !
"unlimited"-PTO shills (AI finally at work?)
Sorry, I'm a conspiracy realist, exactly same posting but different threads, sorry I didn't catch this earlier: @ziq+1u5rRs1u @zvx+1u5OoCIW "Most of the industry has already moved this direction. Is it a boon to the books? Sure. Is it a boon to... — read more
Do you still get the package if you find work after getting the notice but before the end of the 60days ?
I think you do but I am just asking
Beat guy
Can we get a summary like last beat? At least we all could use a laugh
Splunk Sales, Finance, HR, Legal and CX Engg got notified today morning.
Knew some ppl in couple areas.
Summary from Cisco Beats this AM - unlimited PTO, LR numbers, Fran's Paris visit etc
LRs have started, when do they complete?
Accountability
Dear Chuck & ELT team, Let me get this straight. ELT announced 7% LR, Why ? Cisco had a great last quarter but bad year. ELT gives guidance at start of year on "earning projection" Who Hires ELT ? their reporting manager, (Board in Chuck's case) not... — read more
Too many naive people work at Cisco
The leadership was hired to cut costs, and are very skilled at that. If your job is to eliminate 15,000 jobs... you don't say your role is eliminating jobs. You market yourself as a CX, IT, Services or Operations expert. Use high-level buzzwords to... — read more
90% AppD just informed of LR
Anyone to double confirm. Blessings to that team. Was right after the check in.
Horrible leadership
It's never been clearer that's Cisco's biggest problem. Just completely horrible, incompetent leadership.
Acquisitions Bit Us in the Butt
Just my opinion but I think the amount of acquisitions Cisco takes part in - most recently Splunk - makes it hard for Cisco to deliver continuously. Why can't we just stop acquiring and focus on the talent retention we have?
Biggest LR in US TAC in Cisco's history
I got some hints from my dir this morning... my advice is for all TAC engineers G10 and below to start working on their resumes ASAP!
B'Bye, PTO
Yet another benefit removed so Chuckie can hold on to his millions. If this is the level of cost-cutting that's going on, what's that say in the larger context?
Check In Thread
Let's hear everyone's thoughts here. So far, this is an utter disaster. ELT doesn't care about anyone other than wall street. Making employees sit here and stress for a month whether or not they are going to have a job or not is as unethical as it... — read more
I'm tired
I'm tired of stressing, worrying, waiting, never knowing what's the next thing they'll take away from us, and knowing that job security is a distant memory and will stay one. I give up. If they want to get rid of me, they can. I've been here for more... — read more
Time for a new episode of SURVIVOR!
Will it be you or will someone else get kicked off the island?

40% Bonus Cuts, 7% Layoffs, Declining Sales - who from leadership taking responsibility?"
Does Illinois specific PTO mean we in CA don’t get it
CA employees we need to ask our representatives to get us this extra 40 hours of PTO as well. This is some Bs
AppD is done.
RIP
ELT - Cisco
You keep telling us bonus policy, VTO, MRR, not matching inflation etc etc are to align with the market rates. We want you to share what you are doing to align: on cost savings from the pay packages you have taken in the past and not delivered... — read more
New PTO Policy
You have to login VTO in the workday and if you request a VTO for consequence 5 days or more, you need a special approval with leadership.
Cisco UK
Checking in after a while. How's it going everyone? Beginning August none of us work in the UK nor do we take any PTO, because no one works at Cisco in August anyway. Anyone come across our SE Leader recently? Has he given the "Change is the only... — read more
As you listen to ELT today, think about what a union could do
Are they taking a hit too? Nope. Did we have a say in who was getting let go? Nope. Was there an offer of compromise? Nope. Do we get to hold our leadership accountable? Never. Did you get to decide that we went to unlimited PTO? Nope. Are you... — read more

Don't look back
My advice: If you get laid off, enjoy the package and dont look back. The kind of indiscriminate hiring and firing Cisco does just for the F__k of it borders on corporate malfeasance and should be a topic at the next investors' call. I was RIFd from... — read more
Called it....."Unlimited PTO"
Good for shareholders, bad for employees.
Yes, Chuck Needs To Be Fired, But Look In The Mirror Cisco People
Cisco employees need to be honest with themselves and realize they stay at Cisco because they enjoy their lazy part time pajama lifestyle and don't want to take a job with career and financial upside that requires 40+ hours per week with trips to an... — read more
Sure wish I had a week of PTO banked to help during the LR
