It seems like something I mentioned to my manager during my mid-year review was used against me in my BK feedback, and the comment even reflects my manager’s tone. Managers, this is not how you motivate your dedicated employees.

Not everyone could remove the manager from those asked. If the AI that chose those to request didn’t choose wisely then some ended up with a number of folks who weren’t appropriate (VERY little interaction directly) and managers and you could only “replace” certain people and that number was limited. I also had to have my manager (and my manager’s manager) in the pool because I had not enough people in one category and in 2 others had no one that I actually interacted with. So to get anything helpful meant I had to add people anyway and that didn’t let me replace the managers. It was a stupid exercise. So very stupid.
@1qgd+1uMJyWHs Not everyone had a choice especially since they took it down for repairs and then brought it back up and ended the period to revise it rather quickly at the end of summer when a lot of people were on vacation.
Why did you choose your manager to give you feedback?... We all had a choice of picking who we wanted. I remember seeing both my direct and skip level managers and I did not choose them. I chose stakeholders and other cross-functional team members that I worked with.
This never happened.
Imagine a manager actually taking that thing seriously.
