Any news on potential layoffs? If trends persist, they’re quarterly & won’t be stopping anytime soon.

@28p that’s unfortunate. At the end of the day, it’s a business and employees are just a number. Don’t think that senior leadership is exempt from a layoff. Sometimes they will cut that headcount just to save that salary and bump someone else from below the ladder up. I think even senior leadership, no matter how important they think they are, are not exempt. They have shown that. People at all levels are replaceable.
@fy unfortunately, yes. I can’t plan anything more than a few weeks out because of how they tend to do layoffs. It’s pretty bleak for anyone not in a senior leadership role. Thankfully, my partner’s job is secure as a business owner, but we could lose my income at any time & that’s a huge mind eff. I’ve been job searching seriously for nearly a year & haven’t gotten anywhere. The job market is so bad. With what I am seeing on the big forced AI adoption is that they’re looking to automate as many job functions as they can & get rid of that headcount.
@OP
Is this what this company has been reduced to? People on pins and needles checking online to see when they’ll be laid off?
Historically, it’s been early in the year, which already happened, July and fall (before the holidays kick in).
No insight but I am nervous
