Lots of layoffs yesterday. 3 on my team alone. Jobs are being outsourced to other countries like Poland and India or to other states where salaries are lower, like Florida. Years of service and one day someone decides you’re disposable. Shame on BNY!

The NEW severance package deal is out It is in Mysource (accidentally published and ay have been withdrawn ?)

Anyone who is laid off has to pay back the service time or it will be clawed back. The severance is 1 day / year of service that will be clawed back from the employee for the benefits provided by the firm.

YES the employee has to pay the "exit fee" to leave the company or provide service to the company for that many days without being compensated. Since the latter being a security risk the employee will be required to pay back to get his/her 401k released

May be even a bill be sent through collection agencies - Details are being worked out

I am hearing the separation package will be reduced to one week for each year worked maxed out at 12 weeks. If true, it makes total sense 2025 will be a blood bath. Anyone else hearing about the change in the package?

I was laid off last week. UK - non growth location. I haven’t heard of any others yet in my location although there may have been some. It wasn’t due to RTO as I was fully compliant. It was just they didn’t want the role in this location.

2025 will be a blood bath, 10% decrease.

Is 10% decrease based on next year's budgets?

Layoffs happened to my location for week of 8/26. I am not certain if the week of 8/26 would be the last round for this year.
