Are they U.S. layoffs or Pune layoffs?

November is the next set of layoffs. I already made my list a month ago.

The writing is on the wall. The entitled Americans believe (MAGA type) without them the Bank cannot function and are being shown that it functions and performs better WITHOUT them. The stock price rise is a by product. The healthy dividend showcases and the investors are investing.. Bank has made enough money to go on a buyback

All because they can do the same job for a fraction on what need to be spent on US employees, their benefits. No more I-am-better arrogance and entitlement mindset.

This will heavily down voted but I am not stating this for votes but stressing get out of your denial mindset and start working or find another company. No more freebies

Robin is very clear - remove duplication streamline / consolidate AND ELIMINATE high-priced US workforce.

Good luck to all that were let go. There are great companies out there and I hope you find a better role. I was laid off some time ago, my role went to India too! I was worried about my future at the time, but on hindsight it was the best thing ever. I am now working for a company that is a thousand times better than BNY. It made me realise what a truly awful compang BNY is. You are better off out of the place.

Exactly. And it’s why the choice this November is clear. Give us the guy and team with a proven track record of making it great again and not the team that want to put us on and scam us again. Companies leave blue locations first and now its happening all over thanks to the failure of the last 3 1/2 years. There are low grade jobs around sure but it’s careers that are disappearing. And the current set of bandits has no clue on to invest in this country and its workforce

Offshoring jobs and sc--wing Americans should be illegal and companies that do this should be fined heavily if not lose the ability to keep their company. Its beyond disgusting

The sad thing is that as bad as Pune is, it is head and shoulders above Chennai. We wised up about that though.

India does not but cause more work for US employees is the realest statement I’ve ever heard. My entire teams processes were altered when we started bringing Pune into the mix just to cater to them because they have no critical thinking capabilities. And their “management” or shall I say professional harassment staff is the funniest thing ever. The hand holding is embarrassing and the way the metrics have been shifted to make them look good and act as if their inclusion has been a massive success is the most infuriating thing about it all. Can’t say Pune without an emphasis on P-o

@quz+1uoA040t - neither “outwork” americans. This is beyond laughable. They make a sh-t ton more mistakes and have to be told repeatedly what to do on the most basic stuff. Thats all they do. Sorry BNYM would do far better getting away from those locations. Zero talent comes out of any of the areas. Idk a single person who knows what they’re doing in those areas

@quz+1uoA040t offshore doesn’t outwork US employees. They do help to overwork US employees while taking credit for that work with all the constant questions and handholding! But you have thing right, they are cheap! The only reason it is working is all the constant training those of us at the shrinking sites are providing them. It’s causing us nothing but depression.

I am pretty sure that September’s layoffs are the second week of the month. But the firm has a round of layoffs every month.
