Doing so will add more people to the team which increases the chance of me or sometime else being let go next. The layoffs this week were given to strong performers who just happened to be in high cost locations. These were people who climbed from the bottom and worked their way up. Obviously I should look for a better job too but I have to be careful to do anything rash since I have a family to feed

The only people that survive in this environment are back stabbers and boot lickers. It’s better to be able to sleep at night with an untarnished soul than being a two faced corporate toad.
You need to learn how to focus, be in charge and lead. Your current approach virtually guarantees the outcome which you fear.
We have multiple open positions in our department with zero applicants in over a month, yet team members were laid off..how does that make sense.
I am one of those individuals that was let go after 20+ yrs with the company. I worked more hours, took on more tasks than most team members and this was my reward. I am sure my layoff was just the beginning for the team. Pick us off one by one.
