With some many people getting dates a year or more from now (way past the original September 2026 date) it seems pretty obvious they are hoping people just quit. This will save them money in the long run not having to pay out lump sums.
Such a slap in the face and a sh-tshow.
Another thought to consider with dates going into 2027. Someone pointed out the line item of severance (I have not seen it personally) from one of the earnings calls so maybe they had allocated a certain amount of severance but was not enough to cover everyone for 2026 so they need to reallocate for 2027.
Welcome to Corporate America!!!! They never lose !!!! They will chew you in and sp-t you out !!!! I had a gut feeling this would not end well ….. those that want the money, do the work and keep your head down….. if you are truly fed up, leave as soon as a good job comes along and act as if you were never offered anything as leaving will default your offer and now you have quit !!!! We still have choices ….. make them wisely … Don’t attempt to not do your job while still here because that just lands you on a PIP and now you don’t qualify for VSP terms and are still out but with empty pockets

all you gotta do is look back at the clustercluck of VSP Day One...they spent months plotting this only for the "servers"(??) SURE JAN to crash on Day1 of 2factor-auth.

Honestly, I am not sure if this was an accident or evil genius move by Centene. To change the separation dates out to Nov 2027. I imagine everyone who signed up was already looking for new jobs. The new employer isn't going to wait for you a month or year later. So they are probably expecting people to quit, they keep all the severance pay and don't have to pay as much unemployment. I didn't take VSP because anything the company says is a good thing, I naturally question....

Their plan worked great. Now everyone with later sep dates will quit and nothing will need to be paid. They didn’t lay of off, you quit. Conscious cleared, no bad looks from investors. Played like a true corporate NARC.

I was one of the ones who went from Yes to NO after we came back from July4th holiday.
the way it was worded "your ESTIMATED vsp $$$" made my eye all twitchy.
ALSO the fact that they kept sending emails changing deadline dates, notification dates, and "estimated" separation dates. That's triflin'
