MB, CTO is on the move!

If you thought MB was bad, wait until you see the new guy
Interesting. Didn’t know power flex was a BE thing. Cloud was a mess long before BE showed up and it’s not just MB that’s the issue. Transformation? lol. Not gonna happen. Data center exit is the priority and has been a cluster f@@k too. It’ll get ugly next year if people can’t move.
People moving to ferlisi is telling. My money is on Gus not being around for too much longer. That move is a message. You don’t take CTO people and put them in a line of business org when EFT is taking the rest of the org for now.
@av TK's lawyer must have drafted a contract with a riduculou$ly large "college football coach" buy-out.
So how long before BE gets retired? She isn’t moving the needle. Stuff isn’t crashing weekly like when TK was in charge but there is no transformation going on. If you can’t have change in a year you can’t have change. Stuff is just paused. Some depts have lost so many people that actually know stuff that it’s going to bite them one day soon.
@bp
Ha.
Pflex.
Don't make me chortle.
@ag
That was a BE thing, not a MB thing.
She came in and blew up the cloud concept and pivoted to the neighborhood scheme.
Heard the CDO org and Krishna gonna be wrecked
@aj the replacement will be from BoFa, had to wait out the non-compete clause
and MB....... he left with a bunch of Dell dollars in his pocket from his failed Powerflex solution
No surprise that MB got retired but who will BE replace him with? Her plan seems to be to bring in friends and cut staff so the numbers look good. Tech excellence? Um, at least I’m not a top line person that will get blamed when this stuff goes haywire.
@ar TK must have one he11 of an employment contract and golden parachute given she survived the head of tech demotion and still in her role. SVB probably saved her too.
I was hoping that it was T. Kerr*n that was going to spend more time with family.
Agree, writing was on the wall when BE arrived and completely reshuffled the deck with the new datacenters. MB has been pretty quiet ever since.
@ah, not sure where you get 20% of CTO being disposable when its been very hard hit by displacements over the past few years. 10 years ago sure but not today. Ops can barely cover multiple functions at this point and it is showing in the delays with the new sites and RTB activities.
Since she was hired. There were legal hurdles that forced her to wait. There won’t be an actual CTO search. This is all check the boxes for compliance. The new CTO is already known. You’ll see an announcement in a couple months of the person being from BNY.
I wonder how long she has been chomping on the bit to implement her grand plan. I am guessing she is seeing 20% of that CTO org is now disposable. There will be a ton of “synergies” and right sizing. All of his pals will be shown the door along with most of their teams
MB was a target for being shoved out the door when Bridget came on board. Look at cloud and all the new data center redesigns to see why.
@a6
Yeah, "retired". That's it, yeah.
I just love how these guys constanly cheerlead the messaging that we are on the right track, that it is an exciting time, that we are well positioned, that we must remain focused, that they are focused, blah blah. And, then they leave.
How do they expect us to listen to them when they constantly play musical chairs with leadership is beyond me.
He was retired. Bridget is bringing over her buddies from BNY.
@a4 “retired”
he retired
The domino effects are hilarious. A few of those changes are head scratchers.
