Has anyone ever chosen not to be put on a PIP but rather decided to leave? Only to be told you can no longer apply for any BNY Mellon or their affiliates positions in the future?

For what ts worth, I was laid off in 2004, along with many in my operations department. It wasn't for performance issues, just offshoring. I tried a couple times to apply for client-focused positions (for which I was qualified) a couple years after that, but was not even called for an interview. I'm guessing some sort of 'not eligible for re-hire' list existed even back then.
Dude, you were out on a Personnel Improvement Plan. Is Engrish your second language?
You didn’t work out, you’re on a banned list. Period.
I’ve worked there three times, always left gracefully and was always welcome back.
See the difference?
I did
How do you even find out that you're not eligible for re-hire? Did a former colleague look it up for you?
Most would call it a blessing to not be eligible to work here again!
No soup for you !
I banned them from employing me.
When I left in a similar way in August 2023, the documentation said I could not apply to ever work at the company again. Seemed excessive to me, but I was happy to get out.
@apf+1qT0XAQA; What web site are you talking about? Is this only accessible to BNY human resource? Where can I look this information up? I am curious.

I dont think employees can see this manager recommendation on Oracle.
I resigned too and I was curious to find out if my manager marked me as not eligible for rehire. But I couldnt find it anywhere on the website.
I left bny because I did not agree to go into PIP. My performance was at par with other team members and my metrics looked good. 2 days after resignation my manager updated , "not recommended for re-hire"in Oracle. I spent almost a decade in the company and had a very sad ending at bny.
Look, if you left on a PIP you’re banned. Do you really not understand that after reading the clause?
The agreement you sign has a clause indicating you can never work for a BNYM company again in the future.
The real question is would they follow that clause if one wanted to come back. I suspect your file would be coded as “not eligible for rehire”.
Not looking to reapply just curious if it has ever happened to anyone.
I don’t know why anyone who would reapply to a back office of a financial institution. No one knows who BNYM even is besides being across from GS
