Anyone else not having the conversation with their manager today even though July 28th is the deadline? What the heck is going on with this place?

I do not understand why folks are talking about reviews and that too midyear reviews.
If one is in trouble, it gets documented and sets one to be ready for a sendoff.
If one is in good books and slated for a promotion, it gets firmed up.
The rest - 99% - it is waste of everyone's time.
No amount of debating will get the rating changed. And any challenges just paints one as a trouble maker. This is last 10 years of performance review process.

my mgr is sr mgmt so maybe you need to be the one who does better
@mg more like sr. Mgmt once again capped how many can have exceeds. Put blame where it should be or do better
i got met across the board. the usual "you're a high performer but i have to save my exceeds for my favorites."

Exactly…. And We were also told that anyone failing to meet or achieve corporate deadlines - including the inane and silly training- is not meeting corporate goals and objectives and subject to disciplinary action. Rules for thee but not for management me it seems.

For years I have also been told “ I never have concerns with you. When I ask you to do something, I know it will get done, correctly.”. But the mgr would always document their “review” and I would sign off on it . This year , and I checked an hour ago ( after 6:00 on the 28th) . The status of my mid year is still sitting at “mgr review” needed status . It said this milestone was due today . I have no problem with that , but where outside of a survey can we rate our managers ???

I have not heard anything from my manager and the manager evaluation has not been released to me. Very disrespectful!
I guess the culture is really about letting our employees down. This is really a third rate organization.
From what I hear, there is a department in PGH where the manager went on a mutli-week vacation, and 1-on-1 mid-term reviews are now delayed indefinitely.
What a joke!
Know what I was told? I quote - ‘yeah, you’re fine. No need to talk unless there’s a problem’
This means that all these reviews really are just window dressing and targeted at people with dart boards on their backs.
