@cw Sassine is deliberately hiding the layoff timeline to we-ponize anxiety and drive up output. This isn't incompetence but calculated cruelty. But the plan is backfiring. I am exhausted from waiting for the other shoe to drop, and I have no energy left to focus on work.
@cw layoffs turn even good managers into bloodsucking craven monsters who completely disengage from the constructive profession of decision making and become dictatorial clowns making every mistake in the book and running productivity straight down the sewer.

@cn When a company promotes only those who crave power，individuals lacking both integrity and a solid technical background，and especially when such a person becomes the CEO, it is easy to imagine that those around him will quickly come to resemble that same type of person. That's the start of the collapse.
@av The CAEs are a boon to Synopsys since they help sell imperfect software to customers. Meanwhile, they are a bane because many critical positions for guiding the company through an extremely volatile market in the AI age are occupied by some incompetent CAEs.
I was laid off a couple months ago. I can only imagine how bad morale is and a feel for all of you still there. I’ve been holding stock to reach back to an acceptable sell price but Sassine, and all the efforts of his corporate climbers, wouldn’t even know how to begin building a ginger bread house. Gingerbread Sassine, you start with the gingerbread.
This is some of the worst leadership I’ve ever witnessed. He is nothing more than a slick liar. My old upper manager who was head of our software had no idea how to even operate it at a basic level. The lust of power will be that company’s doom unless a major course correction happens. You can only layoff so many amazing, brilliant people before it all collapses.
