Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

When did BNY turn into this dumpster fire?

It's simply unrecognizable these days.

@br, some of us had 5 hours stolen from us. Not that we ever worked that little, but still...

@c9+1jt64e8yw To add to the below: who knows what they can track on our phones. My luck they’ll say it’s now BNY property and they need access to it for some reason. No thanks!

@br+1jt64e8yw Why didn’t you ask for a hard token? I refuse to use my phone for work. I don’t car how easy it is. It’s my phone. If the job requires me to have access to a cell phone then they need to get me one for work. Years ago I said I didn’t have enough memory on my phone. Which I didn’t. But after that I just kept using that excuse or one of the excuses they offered from the drop down on the request. I actually just got my new token yesterday. There were a lot of people that signed up on the spreadsheet I saw. You should look into it.

When we lost the 2.5 hours a week during the pandemic and had to go to a 40 hour a week with no pay increase. It disgusts me. Now management wants me to use my phone for my badge for convenience. It’s bad enough to have the stupid RSA token on my phone. (I loathe it) Not until BNY compensates me monthly for my phone bill will I consider putting my badge on my personal device.

@av+1jt64e8yw Alejandro Perez, the company CAO. He's the bald Latino guy in the NYC office. Former Goldman Sachs guy, absolutely ruthless and hates work from home. Rumor has it that he's responsible for eliminating WFH since he's an old school cutthroat Wall Street guy who thinks everyone should wear a tie and remain in office.

@a3+1jt64e8yw I'm a former Goldman employee myself, albeit I worked in a low entry level position: that company is seriously a cult run by sociopaths. Every negative change to BNY in the past few years can be traced back to former Goldman guys like Alejandro and Robin.

Yeah… and who recommended, voted on and approved RV? Take a look at our board of directors corporate governance. Take a good look at the one who is a technology guru and see his affiliations. He believes in total automation with no human beings in the equation. Look at the socialist schools and programs he has as creds.

When? Take a good long look at BNY’s current set of independent board of directors and look hard at their credentials. You can see it all in the company prospectus or just internet search it. You will find many of them with Goldman history. Many have leftist and activist associations. 10 of the 11 have been placed on our board within the last 10 years. That includes Robin. Just from looking at them you can tell their agenda. They are the source of the dumpster fire. Independent? LOL. These are the people who recommended Alejandro.

I was always happy enough here until Covid. It has been full speed downhill with leadership, pay, morale, flexibility, and benefits since. It was noticeably worse in 2021 and then RV coming in as CEO has only accelerated it downward.
