@dz more experience tends to go with a higher salary and a target on your back this time of year
@cy was part of a rif in 2023 - they provide this detail, you’re correct.
Do they really take out the experienced employees first? What is the criteria when laying off employees?
@cy I mean….idk that I could confidently say they’re not d-mb enough. Do you see how they’re handling the ransomware?
@cw if a RIF impacts people older than 40, the company is required by the ADEA/OWBPA acts to provide a list of those selected and retained along with ages and position
I’ve seen them include gender too, but it’s not required and sounds suspiciously close to DEI (eyeroll).
Medtronic is many things, but they aren’t d-mb enough to not legally comply with federal requirements.
We should keep track of our ages if we get RiFd. If there’s a pattern, we take action.

Probably uncle Geoff refreshing over and over for news of his departure too.

@a1 people look here because they can’t believe anything senior leadership tells them
They will target MFG/QC, someone has to pay the price for recalls for bad products and lack of product sales as always happens. But management/leadership and engineering will be left alone to continue sc--wing up this company
Nah dawg! Company is consolidating and relocating to Atlanta.
