@h8 Oh hey just wanted to say that Polly (she authored that article and all the others about Dell shenanigans)and I had a nice coffee interview. I take credit for providing her the full PowerPoint that she referenced in that particular article. Her and I still email on occasion lmao.
Sales here. Yes the media knows and if you just google it, multiple results come up. Like this: https://www.businessinsider.com/dell-sales-staff-pay-change-commission-target-incentive-2026-2
This is old news from February. "Top performers" by the way would be roughly 5-10% of reps lucky enough to somehow sell, AND SHIP, enough product to hit the massive quotas set this time around. Leadtimes on all datacenter gear is in the months, and we only get paid when orders ship. It is dark in sales for sure.
Inside sales have been on quarterly commission with first two months being a draw…. Then and only then if you hit 80% attainment you get paid commission… if you don’t hit 80% then you get ZERO….
@d6 great question!!!
@OP They can't or they don't want to?
Trying asking anyone in sales.
More Bollocks.
Did you actually sell something???
Why can't they pay commissions? You are making a bold statement with no factual evidence to back it up. I have not heard of one sales person saying they haven't been paid their commission under the terms of their employment agreement
