Symposium Energy

Terrific event. The client and partner excitement has been very high particularly around AI

@1bc how do we fix the IB issue? Stop complaining and step up if you see a problem. I know we need to hire folks from IB to fix the platform but we don’t spend so let’s think outside of the box instead of complaining.

Honestly it's sad we're eventually going to lose our foothold in IB since we clearly have no idea what people actually do in IB anymore. I was talking to a few bankers and it looks like they are testing out other platforms. The MOAT we had is gone. Our strength is wealth and thank god we have one part of the platform still working. I don't know when this bleeding will stop. We keep throwing people at problems with no experience in the area.

Wow, all that enthusiasm has dragged the stock under $210 again. Great job! How about announcing some big client wins from the symposium? That would show that the event truly had value.

Just watched sanoke presentation from conference. Sounds like he’s talking abt how analysts worked 20 years ago. Surprised this is guy they went with. He has a long learning curve ahead and his leadership team are dinasours too

Presenters were often the old guard. Completely out of their element pretending to be ai experts now. That was a lot of the buzz Sanoke doesn’t want to pull the trigger. Very strange. Can’t say he’s still studying.

Light attendees, confusion with agenda & topics were not well received by clients. Most FDS talking to each other vs clients. ELT quiet on this trip

Marketing offsite/HH event. Must be them posting here.

Fantastic to see when we cannot hire, no budget but then flying some from Europe to this event when we barely have any clients from there.

How is there no public press release about all the "awesome" new things we are demoing at our annual client conference? Do we have a CLUE how this game works?

The people who attend the conference are rarely the people fixing problems or building anything useful. The actual problem solvers are buried in the work, cleaning up the mess, while the polished talkers get invited to panels.

And because those polished talkers rarely bother talking to the people with the knowledge or skill to actually change anything, most conferences end up as expensive, self-congratulatory circlej--ks.

Congrats on attending this year’s grand celebration of performative insight
