Americans also say "advert" to talk about something that is a blip and simple.
Most American passports are blue... and most countries passports are blue, if you had to guess that's the majority color. A comment about passport color being blue is meaningless.
@e2 "Advert" means the person making the reply is British or Indian.

share the location and as much about the role as you can
Nah depends on where the role is based. Where I'm at it's the opposite.
"Advert"? Who says "advert"?

How can shell compete with a career making candles, selling crystals, shoeing horses, recording your self playing video games, or taking spicy photos?
Plus, there is the published plan of shell leadership to cut oil production and scope 1, 2, & 3 CO2 emissions. And there is the belief that the younger generation has that you work somewhere for 3 years get trained and then get promoted by by moving to another company. That's also what senior leadership does. If you're leaving, then why not proverbially burn the place down to give yourself extra warmth.
@bf what about the Coming Out bonus?
More people leaving the industry than joining. It's inevitable.
Did you include this in the advert?

Well, hopefully being named best employer in Houston by LinkedIn will help. I mean, everybody respects LinkedIn as credible and non-cheesy, right?
