VSP approval

Was told by HR/VSP line that no one has been sent an approved VSP package yet. How did some of you know you were approved when HR is saying no approved emails have been sent out?

@fn For 30 years of loyal, faithful service, they should be buying you a Cadillac and paying off your house mortgage. And give you an entire year’s salary on top of all that. And throw you the biggest going away party ever.

You have served longer than any CEO. That means something! They should recognize that and appreciate that. They should appreciate you!

Anyway, really great job! I wish you much success and happiness the remainder of your career and life.

Our PL informed us that everyone who applied will receive a decision on 7/27 during the day, they also claimed no PLs know who applied and stated it would be on us to inform our own PL, unsure how true that is, but we will definitely know for sure next week, just hang tight

@fn congratulations 30 years! I personally would have taken this once in a lifetime offer but I can understand a little bit why one would not.

@as I was wondering about that. I didn't take the VSP for a number of reasons, but my offer was 39 weeks base and I have been with the company nearly 30 years. That wasn't nearly as proportionate as those who had been here only 5 years - being offered 10 or more weeks. Everyone was offered an extra 4 weeks. I'm not throwing away a good job for an extra month's pay when the odds are that my job is safe anyway.

@dc Obviously we aren’t getting clear answers here since everyone's saying something different. At this point, we just have to wait for the official notice on 07/27.

@db HR will not provide any answers. I've spoken to them already.

Just call HR or wait until 07/27 to get an answer.
Mission simplified!

I was just speaking with a supervisor who confirmed they have been provided details about their VSP already, that is in the works and they gave a tentative date. I thought we were all going to be notified on Monday. Guess not

@cs why would the do that? What if the PL put in for VSP? They would be told prior to everyone else? Please stop sharing rumors unless you have facts you can share to back up these claims. As of now, we will all find out on the 27th.

@as HR advise me of the same thing. Glad I called them for answers. 👍😊

@cq my understanding is that they do. VPs received their lists and are sharing it with their PLs.

@OP You think that Sr Leaders do not have that list already?

@ac can you just pick the 9/4 date?

I called the VSP line yesterday. I was told that some associates, the ones with choices on the exit date, got the email last week, I think on Monday, with the days and they would choose the date that would work best for them. The lady told me that whoever didn’t get the email, meant that there was not a flexible date. That it would be approved anyways with the exit date as 9/4. She said that the email with the approval will come on 7/27 to the same email where the associate got their package. She also said that the original package $ would be the same if the exit date is 9/4. If they are leaving at a later time then their package will be adjusted (to receive more if applicable, most likely the bonus as they capped the severance at 39 weeks). Hope this helps!

@a6 I believe that is the only email received about it. That wasn’t an approval email. I got the staggered one, but it didn’t clearly say acceptance on it. I wish it did the waiting is hard!

Receiving an email about selecting a future separation date (staggering) is not the same as receiving an approval/package.

Those who need to stagger their separation date did indeed receive an email.
