Based at home layoffs

Has anyone heard anything about upcoming layoffs for based at home employees if not willing to relocate to strategic location?

“all…” ? I’ll believe it when I see it.

If this is true, you Oriskany folks will be dearly missed. Once again, BNY is letting the wrong people go.

Most current layoffs received a 30 day notification period. Some were asked to work it and most were not. I’m not sure if any were offered to relocate, I was not. Either way, If you are WFH as Central NY is, start preparing now. The day is coming.

It is obvious what is going to happen to all based at home remote employees. As for NY Warn, what good will that do for anyone? The bank easily maneuvers around such nonsense. NY’s policies and Gov. Hochul are the epitome of nonsense. You need to start looking elsewhere or possibly relocate if you are younger than 45.

I heard rumors about laying off all remaining Oriskany and East Syracuse remote employees in June, years after both offices were closed. If so, I will be impacted, but so far nobody’s said anything to me. Is there a 90-day NY Warn notice heads up, if June is the month?

One can only hope…

But over two COVID years with people bragging about watching Netflix and not working due to California wildfires, etc, these bad apples have ensured that Robin will never again trust employees.

I for one don’t blame him. He inherited a totally toxic employee population who sc--wed the Bank. They should never work again.

Robin wants everyone in the office drinking the ‘free coffee’ with the saltpeter and lithium in it.
Non conformists will be purged.

Yes, we had over 15 people who got let go who were based at home, because their offices closed.

i do think based at home makes sense if youre an impactful employee who lives no where near an office. but if youre some 30 year old living in NJ then yes i do feel it's unfair that they are BAH.

WINNER! D-mbest post ever. If you are WFH you need to crawl back to some office and maybe ask later when you have skin in the game. Easy peasy!
