Edinburgh office confirmed as a WeWork from July.
How embarrassing for the largest custodian bank in the world….
Here Blackrock, leave your nice new office and come visit us in our shared office space…..

That he is. But that’s one person. Not 60+….
@mx not sure. No other bank has the same offering in Manchester (depo). Hear they struggle to hire the skill set in London across the industry. One of the only banks not in Edinburgh is looking to go there (NT).
It's only a matter of time before the remaining few roles are relocated to Manchester. Several Edinburgh-based positions have already been moved to Poland and primarily India, and I suspect this is just an interim step before some of the Manchester roles also shift to lower-cost locations over time.
I would not be surprised if this is temporary and changes to Manchester once the new building in 2026 opens. Just means they can stagger the move as difficult to move so many staff in one go.
Yeah, that ought to tick the stock price up another point or two. What’s next? Have RTO by reporting to Burger King’s and Dunkin Donuts with wifi next to the office buildings?
No pride.
Terrible shame for both Edinburgh and Cork employees 😢
Hard work doesn't pay off in this company.
Approximately 40-50 kept on out of about 300 I think.
majority will be exited in january. few were offered relocation to manchester or PGH even. scottish govt didnt do enough for their citizens to stop this. Big banks always find a way
More than double redundant than staying.
Good luck with replacing quality Manchester………
How many employees were kept on versus the ones that were made redundant?
