COVID Vaccine

I feel like my boss is pushing my group pretty hard to get the vaccine. We are not customer facing, so unsure what the push or need for us folks to return to office so quickly, opposed to perhaps other groups. Anyone feeling this same pressure? This is outside of the newly created vaccine form they asked us to complete, which is bogus too.

The bank is taking a risk even with 100% employee vaccination. There are still outbreak cases on those fully vaccinated.

I know of employee being directed asked about vaccine status during one on one. I’ve also observed various managers trying to coach and mentor others on vaccine acquisition. None are customer facing. Its a little shocking

They cannot force you or require you to get the vaccine until it's licensed and approved by the FDA, which appears to be at least 2 years out.

@ncj Once the "emergency" or "experimental" verbage is removed your employer can require you to get the vaccine. Check your labor laws and court rulings.

Nobody can force you to get the vaccine. However, here in the US a company can decide to return to 100% onsite work, and only allow workers onsite if they can prove they've had the vaccine.
So yeah... they can't force you to get it. But they can force you to find other employment if you don't.

Not feeling any pressure to get the vaccine. As long as it's approved under an emergency approval they legally can't force you to get it. I'm not saying you shouldn't that is up to you. When I get vaccinated I'll do it on my time and not use the paid time the bank offers. I will also not fill out the Covid form and waive my HIPAA rights. I think that when you let them know you are fully vaccinated they will pull you back into the office. I love WFH and do not want to go back into the office until it's come back or get fired.
