Thread regarding Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois layoffs

Is there anything new for 2025?

Are layoffs coming for 2025? With talks about “saving money” and making sure we are “cost efficient” should we be updating our resumes?

The company has lots of money. Cutting costs means “okay we just had our best year ever, let’s cut costs to give us a headstart on next year”

The talk about saving money remains ambiguous to most.
While their consistent voice of saving money, being compliant and ethical with admin costs, travel, etc become a tone-deaf statements.

Yet they always have money for extravagant trips such as the Blue Elite Award. Sending their top performers and a guest to 5 star resorts. All expenses paid.
