I don't care anymore if I'm fired. The work environment is so bad that I couldn't care less if they removed me from it. Layoffs are now a desirable option. If they paid me to leave, that would just be the cherry on the cake. I have to tell you, it's very liberating once you start feeling this way.

@rks+1i9vhcks - if this was many years ago, you got your severance pay in a lump sum. You got a job the next day, you kept the lump sum. That changed several years ago. You lose your package if you get another job...
