@13y Who gaf if it's equitable or not. This is at will employment. Leave if you dont like it.

@13p Why don’t we see the managers enforcing the compliance? The RTO policy states that “discipline, up to and including termination” could result. If they do nothing about the non-compliance, why have the threat unless it’s to be used inequitably on someone a manager simply wants gone?

@13p if that's the problem, then the solution is bolster engagement with the people at the site. Forcing people classed as remote back to the office only in MN is inequitable unless they apply the same principles and criteria to every Medtronic site.

@zq
It isn’t inequitable, it’s the fact that the MN sites have the lowest RTO compliance levels compared to the other sites.

@zm they already did large scale RTO - doesn't make sense that there's anything to test. People still barely meet the mins expectations for in office. People on the whole don't like it and the ones classed remote are going to like it even less than hybrids going back. Talk about inequitable since MN is the only site enforcing this. Makes it feel like forcing resignations rather than paying severance.

@wj

They are testing it out. It will roll out to other sites eventually.

Why would they do that at mn only? Seems totally inequitable...

Mandatory RTO starting in November for Twin Cities sites. Who cares TBH.

It's probably RTO. Everyone that is remote in the Twin Cities is about to find out they have to go in to office in November.

@s2 Agree with everything here except - don’t assume someone is a boomer based on stupid comments and don’t assume all boomers think like qt

@qt don't be daft. People with self respect are not going to work 2 or 3 levels above their actually salary for free. That is equivalent to modern day slavery.

Don't try and brainwash people. It's pathetic. Mdt has plenty of money for vp ans senior management who don't do actual work. Yet they expect employees - especially high performers and highly skilled to go above and beyond in the name of team spirit and exposure.

It's a huge insult. Exposure does not pay the bills. People with common sense are not going to add more work on their plate , more stress for free.

You actually sound entitled. You think that people should just do these things for free. Listen boomer - the new generation that has entered the workforce is teaching you about boundaries. Get a grip.

@k6 If you weren't so lazy, you'd realize extra work and excelling at it will get you extra pay. Unfortunately, your entitlement and lack of work ethic holds you back from that. Typical deadweight mindset.

@pz Minnesota would work well for the DEI hires. If you have ever been inside, you will see the plants there are 99% . If they are willing to convert, they will fit right in.

It’s a project inspired by the movie Fargo. All of the DEI (Didn’t Earn It) hires are given a choice of 1) Perpetual Winter in Minnesota or 2) The RIF woodchipper 🪵

@jv

That type of culture starts from the top. Why do I want to do more work for the same amount of pay?

@jp Nah, I agree with him. So many "not my job" people in Minnesota weighing the company down. Like srsly, if you have been a receptionist or junior analyst for 30 years, you need to leave.

@hc man you are somehow even saltier than all the people whining about DEI. That’s impressive.

It's where they RIF all the rotting dead leaves and dead wood sitting there for 20 years at the MN sites. Fat, lazy, lack of innovation leaves waiting for their retirement payout.

Oh snap its been outed all ready, What I was told, its an additional ERG goal. A project 6 task where every employee gets a Rake or trash picker upper tool and helps with the leave/garbage removal in campus wide effort to save Money ! Should be fun I'm hoping for a big trash bag to fill.
