Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Laid off employee who are invested on 401k BAC stock.

Do not withdraw your money on this account. The stock price is being held this low so your BAC share can be bought by the bank dirt cheap when you cash in. Think about it. As a matter of fact, load up on BAC. It's hard to stomach buying more shares of the company that laid you off but this have to be thought out using your common sense and not anger.

Rates did go up, what happened to the people who bought into that theme with BAC. That's right, they've been burned. Feel free to try to front the Fed again. Go ahead, please. Back up the truck.

Let the rates go up and I bet the stock will too. Don't let your emotions get the best of you.

Agree with @HyrTYf8-foo, if you want to buy a bank with upside potential go Wells or Chase. BAC has been a dog for years and people who've held for a long time will gladly throw in the towel on any meaningful short term move to the upside. If your horizon is 10-15 years it might pay off, but an S&P index fund will probably pay you better yield and perform equally well. How much upside do you expect from a CEO who's big sales pitch to shareholders is "responsible growth". That translates to expect a proxy at best for the GDP, 2-3% a year.

Get real. The stock is "over valued" that's why you "were" laid-off! There's very little upside potential here, if any ...
