Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Whole Planet Foundation?

Does your team and store rebel against it? It is hard to fundraise with people overworked, loosing they're jobs and happiness. How is it at your store?

Whole planet is an easy sell compared to 2004 when we were selling wind credits to offset electricity, no joke

I gave up asking customers after a while. And I once donated a manuscript for the employee art Auction. All proceeds went to the whole planet foundation of course. We were given orange hats or whatever to wear too. Absurd.

Don't spend your money on Whole Planet foundation. They make the people we give loans to repay the money with 20% interest. Each year millions are raised and millions are repaid from previous loans. Where is all of this money going?

Is this donating your paycheck? Or asking for donations at the register?

I don't work for Whole Foods. I work for Sears. I used to regard both companies as decent. No longer.

Why do they even set goals? Have they ever actually achieved it? Not even close for the many years since I've been around.

I used to do payroll deduction for it. Then I finally decided to donate my hard earned money to local charties. Then maybe someday international charties.

Our store takes it very serious and we did pretty well overall and hit our goal. Iit may have lifted the mood overall because it gave us something to focus on besides all the horrible chamges being made.

Our store did terrible and our store team leader had a breakdown. Maybe if they pay the winner or something in more than dumb shirts and hats then otherwise people just don't care.
