10 hour outage 3/20/24

Thanks a bunch for today’s voice and data outage that left me isolated from calls and gig jobs. I’m surprised this didn’t make the news. Who else was impacted? https://downdetector.com/status/t-mobile/

Ding Do-g the Switch is Dead!

As of this morning, the remaining 3 switch techs, which includes me have been laid off, SWOPS is no more. I would like to wish FOPS and the security guard good luck, please do not call me for questions.

Bye Bye Free Money

I quit a couple years ago and came back as a contractor for a second job. I have done pretty much zero work in the past 6 months and just kept submitting timesheets. While I didn't really do anything, I at least have maybe a dozen total hours spent... — read more

Business Updates Meeting Maker

So it begins. CEC rep here in Central Region. Received a meeting maker for 3/18 for “business updates”. Mixture of experts all the way up to TMs listed in the required field.

Dropping Like Flies

T-Mobile is purposely making dramatic structural changes with its so-called Area model to drive people to quitting so they don’t have to perform more layoffs. Great way to reduce headcount, but the good employees are the ones who are leaving! The... — read more

Paid off mortgage

I’m touching 60 soon and thinking about retiring. In a discussion with some recent hires (young people less than 30) many were surprised that only last month- after working 40 years- did I pay off the mortgage. Many, many expected to outright own... — read more

CEC Flip To Retention

At least 1 CEC will have a forced change to full retention. This will be officially announced next week. Uncertain but probable that manager jobs will be cut during the transition.

Forward Looking

What does think SLT that anytime this site has rumors of a layoff its true? Is someone betraying strategy...or is info leaked to pad and prepare the masses for the potential? Regardless it breeds dissent and drives failure across the org.

Dara is a liar

Apparently when you take peoples jobs away as a group it's not a layoff. Who cares if it's "only 150" people and not some higher number.

RSU Stock

Just saw that the RSU was deposited. Looks like it was only half. Anyone else get the same? Also will they grant new RSU this year? Rumor has it execs only RSU grant this year.

Thank you, DISH!

For being totally incompetent and uncompetitive. You've bought us all extra time as FTE's.

Post Removal

I've seen twice now a post regarding layoffs coming Monday being deleted or removed. I don't necessarily believe it's accurate as no one ever submits anything to backup their claims. I do find it odd that the post keeps getting deleted though.

Survey is out/ Layoff is coming

I don’t know if you guys agree or disagree, but in the near past, whenever there is a company wide survey there is a layoff that follows. Do you agree and when do you think it will happen?

It's simple

If your job can't be done from home, you're most likely safe. It's not a 100% guarantee, but chances are in your favor. But if your job can be done from home and you've been doing it like that for any stretch of time, then it's only a matter of time... — read more

AI tool to help Engineering get laid off faster

Comp review...

Apparently I have topped out as an elite expert and I can't make anymore hourly... I was shafted on my raise because of it. Next year should be great if there is a next year.

Sam's Club Kiosks

2024 Timeline (Theory)

If 2023 layoffs are happening I think notices will go out Feb 29th. Yes it's a leap year. This would put the 60 day garden leave ending at the end of April beginning of May. That timeline seems logical because the end of April beginning of May is... — read more
