About to be laid off, what to expect?

I know I am being laid off this week after becoming privy to some work leadership was doing. What can I expect to happen on the day I get laid off? Did you get an outlook meeting? Also, what is the standard severance package?(I work in Marketing).

Robots for Hire

Now Hiring: Seeking robots to replace our current SLT. No experience necessary. As long as you can repeat bullsh-t talking points repeatedly and know how to use ChatGTP, everything will be just fine.

Been here for awhile to see how bad it’s turned, and how bad the days in front of us are with these new leaders in place. F Ulf F Sievert F Sprint #BringBackLegere That is all.

Layoffs were not always a thing

Remember when major layoffs were not something we had to fear all the time? I do. I remember the time before the merger when layoffs were rare and usually small in scope. I remember when one of the things I would boast about working here was job... — read more

Hear me out

T-Mobile pays it's SLT too much. Not just the C-level folks. They make too much at all companies. I mean Director+ make too much. Piling stock options on top of stock options over and over for years doesn't provide them incentive to deliver better... — read more

Constant fear of losing a job

They have created a terribly toxic atmosphere where people are constantly worried about how much longer they will have a job. I don't know if anyone thinks that their job is a little more secure? Are there any positions that are perhaps a... — read more

So overworked

If the goal for the company is to move forward, then it is unacceptable to burden the employees to such an extent. An overworked and exhausted employee will eventually start slacking off or leave. Everyone will choose their health before constantly... — read more

Outsourcing mobile development

The big red flag for mobile development in the Overland Park headquarters was when TMO spent three years refusing to let the team rewrite the ancient and clunky flagship app, then blamed them because it wasn't a "world class" app or user experience... — read more

What is going in the Retail Planning an Ops space?

Honestly, I am not sure how many more hours I can fit in. We are the "junk drawer",for all things that others do not want to do. I wish I knew what the long term goal was for us. I want to work to live, not live, to work. We do a ton of work a Sr... — read more

Lunch anyone?

I think being laid off would be better than getting food poisoning from a free lunch.

Overwork

They treat us badly because they know they can. How many people do you know who say that they won't agree to be worked to burnout, and then put their heads down and do triple workloads? There are too many of those here. Unfortunately, people... — read more

If bed bath and beyond didn’t teach u

Retail is dead. Ryan Reynolds’s and Mint were way ahead of their time. They should lay off Jon Freier as he is clueless. I can post new stores on Twitter and say something quippy to make it look like I care. You better shut down all retail and go... — read more

Thank you, employees of T-Mobile

The FDA is walking back their jab guidance. Thanks on behalf of those of us who said no to "the science" and the senior leaders. How do we nominate PT Barnum for a posthumous "All-Time Thought Leader" Nobel Prize?

Nobody should be worried about being laid off

Think about it, how much worse could it get at any other employer than it already is here? I'm convinced that those who were laid off in the last round are the lucky ones. They get severance and can start again with a better employer. We get to... — read more

When will we finally be able to relax?

I'm still safe, but I'm feeling tons of anxiety because it would be really, really bad for me to lose this job at this moment. I hear that there is more to come. How long will these cuts last, when will we finally be able to relax a little?

I hope that good workers won't be targeted

It will be truly devastating if it turns out that the target are the remaining high-quality workers who actually add value and those who contribute little or nothing survive. We will see, but I do not believe at all that the target will be... — read more

SMRA IS FIRST TO GO

My understanding is that SMRA will be significantly scaled back. I have heard from a director that retail management will be reduced. Store managers will manage multiple locations and each SMRA section will have one or two floating RAMs.

Massive layoffs this week.

Be ready, update your resume, don't get low balled on your severance. This company doesn't care about you, trust me.

Notifications coming April 4th

Operations will see a switch alignment. 3 technicians per manned switch across all areas. Field operations will see a 25% cut across the board. No reductions to dev or rf at this time.
