Having read posts on this website, it's as if I have written them myself. How can an organization be so dysfunctional that it's the same every where. It's like all the dregs of society have gathered to make life miserable for others.

At least the unhappies have a place to vent
Pretty sure it goes without saying, but here it goes anyway - it’s a rumor site, so no one takes any info written here for granted. But like you said it has its patterns by which you can determine what rumors are true. Can spot the trolls pretty easily and the number of views and votes helps a lot.
Working at BNY is pretty bad, but be skeptical about blogs like this. They are a few people (including me) that post over and over. You can name them Anger, Panic, Reason, Hate, Sad, etc. Then notice the patterns of their messages. The website can even identify these by ISP and cookies. Thats how they can suppress a group of messages when someone violates rules. Interesting.

I don’t think it’s everywhere the company, maybe obsolete and/or redundant areas are just feeling it more. There seem to be comments on MySource that indicate some better areas to work. If not BE, we can post for jobs there and retain our benefits. And, my department has suffered badly although many of us still have good jobs with salary increases and bonuses.
Of course, BNY responsible for handling it very badly, regardless of how much of the company it affects.
The executive only care about their own bank account balances. Greed. But at the end of the day they are very poor excuses for humans.
I used to like coming to work. No more. I hate what this company has become. I hate what this company is making me do as a manager. Why does executive management think that what they’re doing to this company is ok.
To the executive management...
You don’t belong here. You are not what this company is about. You are about greed. You are about selfishness. You are cold,heartless, and destructive. You don’t value you’re employees as you have shown us time after time. How do you look in the mirror at the end of the day? Do you feel good about what you’ve accomplished? Are we a better, stronger company? No, we are not. We are weaker and a lesser company from your actions.
