Question....so for those that have been laid off, are they taking out money from your final check or your sub pay when they ship you your belongings via mail? Just curious.

Captain Bob. What did HR say about the missing items? Did you make a complaint about your personal items missing?
Good luck getting everything back. BONY's incompetency extended even to this minor task. I had to finally call and HR was surprised that I hadn't received anything back. When I did receive a box from BONY, it, of course, was missing a lot of my personal items.
You are joking right? I witnessed the redundancy of a colleague. Her personal items were thrown around and EVERYONE on the floor witnessed this. It was disgusting behaviour. I would suggest that everyone start to move out their belongings. This is the most vile place I've worked at. Bullying and incompetence is praised. Hardwork and integrity is ignored.
