Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Is it just me, or have the layoffs stopped for awhile?

I’m not naive to a point that I believe that the layoffs have stopped completely. We’re a big company, and knowing how things stand right now, they’re surely happening somewhere, but there has not been a larger wave for some time now. Does it mean that things are calming down for now?

The next wave of layoffs is Dec 2 (Monday after Thanksgiving). Probably right around year end reviews.

They are scrutinizing even the smallest office supply costs. Nothing would surprise me anymore. Always be prepared.

It’s not over. BE chuck said so when he said that costs would be cut to a level they didn’t think was possible before.

By mine view it goes by department two times per year. So if your department had second wave this year may be you save to next year wave. According Bridget meeting it will not stop.
